Review policy

Manuscripts submitted to IASR Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Science (IJMPS) are considered for publication on the condition that they are original works and have not been previously published, accepted, or simultaneously submitted to any other journal or publication platform.

Upon submission, each manuscript is assigned to the relevant Chief Editor for preliminary evaluation. The manuscript first undergoes a rigorous plagiarism screening. If significant plagiarism is detected, the manuscript will be rejected and the corresponding author will be promptly informed with appropriate guidance regarding revision or resubmission. Manuscripts that successfully pass the plagiarism check proceed to the peer-review stage. To ensure impartiality, all author-identifying information is removed, and the manuscript is coded before being sent to subject-specific expert reviewers.

After evaluation, reviewers provide detailed comments and recommendations to the editor. These comments are communicated to the author(s), who are given an opportunity to revise the manuscript in accordance with the reviewers’ suggestions. The revised manuscript is then resubmitted to the editorial office and may be returned to the original reviewers for further assessment. This process may continue until the manuscript satisfies the required scientific and editorial standards.

Once the manuscript is thoroughly revised and receives approval from both the reviewers and the editorial board, it is formally accepted and scheduled for publication.

IJMPS follows a strict double-blind peer-review policy, ensuring that reviewers remain unaware of the authors’ identities and authors are not informed of the reviewers’ identities, thereby maintaining fairness and transparency in the evaluation process.

For submissions under the fast-track review system, designated reviewers are engaged to expedite the evaluation process. After submission, the manuscript undergoes plagiarism screening, and if the similarity index is below 15%, it is forwarded for urgent review. Following reviewer assessment, the manuscript is sent to the editor for final verification before publication.

Please note that a manuscript may be rejected at any stage of the review process if the authors fail to adequately address the reviewers’ comments or comply with editorial requirements.
