Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

Authors submitting manuscripts to IASR Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Science (IJMPS) are requested to carefully adhere to the following instructions:

Language

Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise, and grammatically correct English. Authors may use either British or American spelling; however, consistency throughout the manuscript is mandatory. Submissions must be prepared in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).

Length of the Manuscript

The main text of the manuscript should not exceed 20 pages, formatted in Times New Roman, 12-point font, A4 paper size, with moderate margins. This page limit excludes tables, figures, references, and appendices (if applicable). Manuscripts exceeding the prescribed length will be returned to the authors for necessary reduction before further consideration.

Title Page

The title page must include the following details:

  1. Full name(s) of the author(s)

  2. A clear, concise, and informative title

  3. Institutional affiliation(s) and complete address(es) of all authors

  4. Email address of the corresponding author

Abstract

An abstract of 150–250 words must be provided. The abstract should briefly state the objective, methodology, key findings, and major conclusions of the study. Undefined abbreviations and references should not be included in the abstract.

Keywords

Provide 3–6 relevant keywords suitable for indexing and retrieval purposes.

Introduction

The introduction should clearly define the purpose and objectives of the study. It must present a brief background, highlight gaps or limitations in existing literature, and justify the need for the present research. Only relevant references should be cited, and an extensive review of the subject should be avoided.

Research Methods / Methodology

For research articles, a detailed description of the study design, materials, procedures, and analytical methods used is mandatory. The methodology should be sufficiently clear to allow reproducibility of the study.

Results

Results must be presented in a clear and logical manner. Use text, tables, and figures appropriately to highlight key findings without duplicating data across formats. Include essential statistical analyses where applicable. Interpretation of results should not be included in this section and should be reserved for the discussion.

Discussion

The discussion should focus on the significant findings of the study and their implications. Avoid repeating detailed results. Compare findings with existing literature, discuss limitations, and explain the relevance of the study to current scientific knowledge. Conclusions drawn must be supported by the presented data. Avoid unsupported claims or overly lengthy explanations.

Tables and Figures

Tables and figures should be embedded within the main text at appropriate locations and not placed at the end of the manuscript. Each table and figure must have a clear title and proper numbering.

Conclusion

Provide a concise summary of the key findings and their scientific significance. Highlight the novelty, practical implications, and contribution of the study to the advancement of medical and pharmaceutical sciences.

References (APA Style)

All references must follow the APA (American Psychological Association) citation style and be arranged alphabetically at the end of the manuscript.

In-text citations should follow the author–date format, for example:
