The controlled release formulation for anti- diabetic drug to enhance the theraoptic  efficiecy  , improve patient compliance by maintaining consistent drug concentration in the in the bloodstream over an extended period. The review focus on the development of the controlled release  system for anti-diabetic drug such as Metformin and thaizolidinediones.
